LIKO Long Island Kickboxing Organization
New Sports come and go but the sport of kickboxing (American Style) has found a strong following and Long Island can boast of some of the Best Kickboxers in The United States. The Long Island Kickboxing Organization based in Deer Park Long Island although new has become a leader in this sport. Last reason (LIKO) Long Island Kickboxing Organization had 4 shows all packed to capacity. Shows are held at The Deer Park Sportatorium on Brook Ave. The 2010 Championship Kickboxing Show is already set for April with the main event being The North American Kickboxing Championship.
Local legend Tyson "TNT" Jones has been offered a chance at this Title Bout.
Sanctioned by the PKF and US Muay Thai Association LIKO is recognized as the Best place for fighters to showcase their fighting talents. Fighters from Maine to Puerto Rico are expected to be on the LIKO5 Fight Card.
UPDATE... Tyson "TNT" Jones has accepted the challenge and will fight for The North American Kickboxing Title. Tyson is one of the instructors at The American Academy of Self Defense. He teaches Fitness, Kickboxing and Martial Arts.
